I’m just now starting to see signs of some ripe tomatoes from my garden pots.
I’m sure they’ll be worth the wait. We’ve had such a lackluster summer that these fellas will be lucky to ripen on the vine.

Today in Fremont amongst hundreds and hundreds of Patches Pals and politicians…JP and Gertrude’s statue was unveiled to the delight of many. Pat Cashman did a great job as the narator for this event.
The statue has all ready raised $78,000 for Childrens Hospital and will continue to do so when Pals make donations into the ICU2TV portion of the statue.
There were so many fans there (most with red noses) that I was not able to get a great shot of the new statue…I plan on visiting again soon.
You can check out more photos from today by clicking here. (Also included in this photo set are photos taken from when the original statue design was unveiled).
Last week, in San Francisco at RE Bar Camp, the attendees were surprised with their very own super hero trading cards. Somehow, my trading card didn’t make the order with the other "super bloggers" (which is easy to understand since this huge feat was pulled off in just a couple days before the event). A huge thank you goes to Gia Freer, VP and Community Manager of RealSeekr (aka Principessa di Proprieta) for creating my super hero trading card!
On a much more serious note, please check out my article on Rain City Guide about The Housing Rescue Bill which was signed off by President Bush yesterday.
JP Patches was in West Seattle yesterday, as covered here by the West Seattle Blog. The fundraising for JP’s statue is wrapping up and I understand that your last chance to purchase a Patches Pal Paver is tomorrow, Monday, May 19, 2008. Don’t miss this opportunity to have your name, words or wishes at the base of the statue honoring JP Patches and Gertude. You can get your paver by clicking on JP’s mug on the right side of this site. I have two pavers and can’t wait to see JP’s statue.

Every year my son’s Great Grandma, better known as Nona, makes me a Rhubarb Custard Pie. It’s usually after my birthday because she waits until the rhubarb is ready from her garden…and it’s worth the wait! I’m one lucky lady.
A little song for all of us Moms in honor of Mother’s Day this Sunday.
Hat tip to my friend, Lisa Wallace-Baker who shared this with me back in November.
I should stop saying how long I’ve been around the real estate industry! On May 1, 1986, a very bright-eyed and naive young Rhonda Christopherson, began my first “real job” at Safeco Title Insurance Company as a doc-puller (we were bought a year later by Chicago Title, where I worked in Unit 5).
After 14 years in the title industry, I made the move to mortgage and I’ve been helping Washington families with their Mortgage Planning needs for the past 8 years…the rest is history!
Yes…that is Chuck Knox, that was my hair style in the 80s and yes, I’m wearing yellow Reeboks with actual jersey.
