Would you believe that as week four, we are about 75% down with gluing pennies to our floor? Rocko, our cat, has been sneaking his way into the room to supervise us.
We have abandoned using the “tile method” for the floor and are gluing each lovely penny one penny at a time. My hubby is convinced that the tile method would work if you chalk out where the tiles are to be placed and you only use the tile method.
With making the boarder, I set a dark penny (unglued) so that during my penny-gluing-frenzy, I don’t accidentally glue a non-dark penny in the wrong spot. Oh the pressure!
In this picture, I’m doing my best guestimate on when I need to start on the dark penny “corner loops”. We did the boarder about a foot from the wall. The “loops” circle inwards so I add seven inches (the size of the loop) to the foot boarder.
We are nearing connecting the fancy boarder to the compass. It’s going to be a little tricky to make sure everything lines up as closely as possible.
I’m actually writing this from Nashville. I’m at the MBA’s Independent Mortgage Banker’s Conference. I know my sweet Hubby is making a lot of progress on the floor while I’m away. 🙂
Last but not least…here’s Rocko… pretending not to notice the penny wrapper on the copper floor.
Stay tuned!
