Michelle

It’s been brought to my attention that I’ve been writing more about non-mortgage issues.   It’s just kind of what’s been going on these days.  I’ll be back on track soon.

I just learned two days ago that my friend, who happens to my Processor until the last year or two, is near the end of her battle with Breast Cancer.  This is according to her Doctors.   I am hoping and praying for a miracle.   Michelle and I shared an office together for over five years where she trained me right.   We would have more fun laughing together and sharing stories.   She’s a sister.   She’s just a year or so younger than me.   Michelle was diagnosed with this disease a couple of years ago; she is the second woman under 40 in our office to have this aggressive form of breast cancer.  It’s heart breaking.   Hospice is now coming in to help make her comfortable during this time.  Her family is flying in to be with her now and over the holidays.   Our office is taking turns making various dishes of food to help Michelle and her husband, Robert, while they "entertain" their loved ones.

Please think positive thoughts for Michelle and say a prayer.

  1. Rhonda,

We don’t exactly know each other but I’ve been admiring your blog from afar 🙂

It’s ok to stray away from mortgage issues from time to time. Especially when it’s to take the time to acknowledge a close friend/colleague/and member of the Rhonda family (she may not be family but I consider all my friends family).

Cancer runs in my family. My mother has experienced her battles with melanoma and has recently undergone some surgeries battling some benign tumors. I can understand the troubling times for Michelle and all but I also know that she is amongst loved ones and that’s the greatest gift of all!

    Wishing you all my best!

  2. Ricardo, thank you. I visited Michelle today at her home. She is such an amazing person…I don’t even know where to start. I am so lucky to know her and to have her in my life.

  3. Hi Rhonda,
I am with Ricardo, although we have never met face to face or even spoken to each other we are acquaintances.

You laugh, I laugh, you cry, I cry.

May you have a peace that surpasses all understanding.

  4. Rhonda – Being one of the persons that has made the “non-mortgage” comment to you, I hope you know I meant it in a positive light. That is one of the aspects I love about your blog and I think it help your clients/readers know who you are as a person…don’t change a thing. I myself try to put a lot of humor in my blog even though it’s focused on mortgage origination.

Most importantly, my prayers are out Michelle and her family.

  5. Thanks, Tony…I think I wanted to point out as well that I’ve had a lot of “non mortgage” stuff going on lately.

I’m really touched by the kind thoughts and prayers from everyone. I know Michelle and her family will be too.
