Rental property in SeattleIf you own rental property located in Seattle, you need to be aware of fairly new requirements, created by the Seattle City Council, to register your investment property. This city ordinance, the Rental Registration and Inspection Ordinance (RRIO) impacts landlords and property managers who have multiple units to those who have just one rental home. Affordable Homes in Seattle?

2015-03-21_0844This month, Seattle Magazine released their annual edition that covers the best neighborhoods in the greater Seattle area. This year, they featured the “most affordable neighborhoods” near Seattle. It’s no secret that home prices and rents in Seattle have been climbing due to lack of inventory. However, there are neighborhoods that are not located too far from Seattle where home buyers can get more for their money.

My first time at a foreclosure auction

2015-02-13 09.44.30I recently attended my first trustee sale on the King County courthouse steps. The house next door to us, that has been vacant for a couple years was scheduled to be auctioned. My husband and I were curious as to who might be purchasing the property and I’ve always wanted to see what happens at a foreclosure auction.

Seattle Real Estate Chat featuring Houseline’s Bob Stewart [Video]

In this episode of Seattle RE Chat, Jim Reppond and I have a special guest, Bob Stewart. Many in the real estate community know Bob Stewart as one of the founders of Active Rain. He has recently been involved with launching a new mobile application to created for home buyers and real estate agents called Houseline.

Houseline is currently available in the Seattle market for iPhones and should be available soon for androids.

In other words, WSHFC has helped over 50,000 families buy a home in Washington state using one of their first mortgage and down payment assistance programs.
