Friday Funny

I can’t remember the last time I shared a “Friday funny”… I’m sure it was well before HUD-1’s awful attempt of the 2010 Good Faith Estimate, Dodd-Frank or HVCC regulations.  This was circling around our office and I just had to share this!

Happy Friday!

My Painting: In-laws as Out-Laws

Just for fun I thought I’d share one of my recent paintings that I did of my in-laws, Bob and Ruth Porter posing as Bonnie and Clyde.

Bob Porter actually founded Mortgage Master Service Corporation in 1976. Two of Bob and Ruth’s children, Marilyn and John, are still at Mortgage Master today.

This painting is currently entered in an online art competition for Daniel Smith’s 11th Annual Customer Art Contest.

If you’d like to vote for my painting, you can click here. You’ll need to search “rhonda” to find the painting…and vote often! 🙂    Enjoy your weekend!

One reason to buy vs. rent a home

You can remodel your bathroom without having to get permission from the owner.

My husband is in the process of remodeling our basement bathroom. You can see a glimpse of the salvaged “ship’s door” that will be the door to the commode.

I’ll be sure to share more photos of the progress!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Mortgage Master Service Corporation will be closing early on Monday, Christmas Eve and will reopen on Wednesday morning following the Christmas holiday. Our office will also be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 to celebrate New Years Day.

Just for fun this holiday, I decided to paint Santa on black velvet.

I entered him into Daniel Smith’s customer art contest and actually wound up being one of their weekly winners! He’ll be entered into the monthly competition in January with all the other weekly winners from December.

I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Fall in West Seattle’s Lincoln Park

Yesterday we took our six month old puppy to Lincoln Park in West Seattle for a walk. I thought I’d share some of the spectacular fall colors from my one of my favorite parks

My black velvet painting of Elvis Presley enjoying a peanut butter bacon banana sandwich will be part of the Elvistravaganza exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of Elvis’s visit to the Seattle Center.

I am allowing my painting to be auctioned at the event with proceeds going to Cafe Race Love

Hope to see you there!

I’m going to have a painting on exhibit at Bumbershoot!

You may or may not know that I started painting earlier this year for a new hobby. Most of my paintings have been on black velvet. I was thrilled when I was asked by Marlow Harris if I would contribute an Elvis painting to the Elvistravaganza! exhibit at Seattle Center.

My painting of Elvis getting ready to enjoy a peanut butter, bacon, banana sandwich is not quite finished yet. I just thought I’d share where I’m at with him right now. I’ll post an update when I’m finished with him.

This event takes place during Bumbershoot, Labor Day weekend, at the Seattle Center. Elvistravaganza celebrates the 50th anniversary of when Elvis filmed “It Happened at the Worlds Fair”.

Come check out the exhibit during Bumbershoot. You’ll find a whole lot of Elvis at the Seattle Center Pavilion.
