What May Impact Mortgage Rates this Week: December 30, 2013

Welcome to the last mortgage rate update for 2013! This is another short holiday week. December’s Job’s Report will not be released until next Friday, January 10, 2014.

Here are the economic indicators scheduled to be released this week:

• Monday, December 30: Pending Home Sales
• Tuesday, December 31: S&P Case Shiller Home Price Index; Chicago PMI; and Consumer Confidence
• Wednesday, January 1: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Markets (and our office) are closed for this holiday.
• Thursday, January 2: Initial Jobless Claims; and ISM Index
