USDA back up and running

usdaUSDA, which offers zero down loans for homes located in designated rural areas, was effectively shuttered during the government shutdown. Once the shutdown was over, USDA had a delay in getting their cogs moving at full speed. We’ve received word that USDA is back to “normal”.

USDA loans are available to areas that are deemed rural (non-orange areas on the map) to borrowers that meet income limits. Revised boundaries deciding if a home is rural or not have been pending the approval of Congress and (no surprise here) they have just decided to delay the decision to change current boundaries until January 14, 2014.

If you are interested in a USDA zero down mortgage (or any mortgage) on a home located anywhere in Washington state, I’m happy to help you!
