Fun things to do around Puget Sound this Independence Day

Seattle_fireworksI hope you have a FUN, safe and sane Independence Day. I have fond memories of watching fireworks sitting on the hood of my Mom’s car with my sisters in the Sears parking lot of the old mall in downtown Renton…lots of “oohs and aahs”. 🙂

Here are some events around the greater Puget Sound area taking place this holiday.

Friday, July 3rd, 2015

Auburn – Emerald Downs from 4:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Bainbridge Island – Port Gamble. Old Mill Days Americana runs through July 5th.

Poulsbo – Liberty Bay. NOTE: This is a fun event – especially if you’re on a boat.

Saturday, July 4th, 2015

Anacortes – Fidalgo Bay from 10:00 am – 11:00 pm

Arlington – Frontier Days from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Auburn – Les Grove Park from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Bellevue – Downtown Bellevue Park from 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Bainbridge Island – parade begins at 1:00 pm and the day ends with…fireworks, of course!

Bothell – 11:00 parade

Burien  – 3pm parade

Burien – Three Tree Point with fireworks starting at 10:00 pm

Carnation – 8:00 am – 11:00 pm

Des Moines –  Des Moines Marina from 5:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Edmonds – 10:00 am – 11:00 pm (parades start at 10:30 am)

Enumclaw – 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Everett – Legion Memorial Park from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm

Federal Way – Celebration Park from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Issaquah – Veterans Memorial Park from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Kent – Lake Meridian Park from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Kirkland – Marina Park from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm

Lakewood – Fort Lewis (open to all) from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm

Maple Valley – Lake Wilderness Park from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Monroe – Evergreen Speedway – fireworks and bashed up cars…wooo hooo!

Newcastle – Lake Boren Park from 6:00 pm to 11:00pm

Renton – Gene Coulon Park from 12:00 pm to 11:00pm

SeaTac – Angle Lake starting at 10:00 pm. NOTE: I’ve gone to this event several times and the firework display over Angle Lake does not disappoint!

Seattle – Cal Anderson Park – 11:00 am to 4:00 pm… enjoy hot dogs, picnic, music and more!

Seattle – Gasworks Park from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Seattle – South Lake Union Park from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Seattle – Argosy Cruise (still some tickets left as of the writing of this post).

Tacoma – Ruston Way Waterfront from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm

Tukwila – Fort Dent Park from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm

West Seattle – North Admiral “Kiddie Parade” from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. NOTE: This is a darling event 🙂
